A solar cover, bubble cover (or thermal cover) should be used from the moment the pool is opened in the spring until late autumn in southern regions.
It offers numerous benefits: it reduces evaporation, keeps the water clean, warms the water and maintains its temperature, and reduces consumption of water, heating and cleaning products. It is economical and environmentally friendly.
Made to measure and therefore tailored to your pool, the solar cover floats on the water and has two distinct sides:
• Water side: bubbles acting as thermal insulation.
• Visible side: UV-resistant.
The thickness of the bubble wrap is a key factor in choosing the right product and refers to the thickness of the polyethylene film (excluding the bubbles). It is measured in microns (1 micron = 0.001 mm). ALBON offers bubble wrap in 400 or 500 micron thicknesses.
• Round bubble 12 mm (standard) in 400 μm.
• OXO - Alternating round and X-shaped bubbles, in 500 μm.
• Geobubble™ - ‘Double-dome’ bubbles, 500 μm.
These grades are available in 11 colours, 4 finishes and 3 grades to provide a solution tailored to your needs and budget.
12 mm round bubbles (standard) with a thickness of 400µm.
The cost-effective solution, available in four colours.
Performance durability :
An innovative design comprising two complementary bubbles, engineered for durability thanks to its uniform thickness.
Performance insulation :
A bubble that optimises its buoyancy on the water thanks to a flat contact surface. Reduced heat exchange (no penetration into the water). Optimisation of the bubble surface area for high-performance insulation.
Thermal performance :
More effective dispersion of UV rays in the water thanks to more pronounced curves.
Designed to extend the lifespan of the cover, this technology offers improved resistance to UV rays and chemicals, and helps to reduce heat loss,
evaporation and, consequently, water and energy costs.
The colour and its features
Blue
The essentials for keeping your budget under control.
Available in Round Bubbles,
Geobubble and OXO.
Blue/Black
Reduced photosynthesis, thereby limiting algae growth and reducing the use of water treatment products.
Available in round bubbles.
Blue/Silver
Thermal efficiency and minimisation of water evaporation from the pool.
Available in round bubbles.
Transparent blue
Maximum solar energy gain. Increased water heating capacity thanks to the sun’s rays.
Available in Round Bubbles,
Geobubble and OXO.
Anthracite
A hybrid cover that is both opaque and transparent, offering good solar efficiency, preventing algae growth, retaining heat and reducing evaporation.
Available in Geobubble and OXO.
RaeGuardTM
Retains stored heat and maintains the pool temperature. Suitable for indoor and outdoor pools.
Available in Geobubble.
The most economical option.
Rough-cut, with no edging or eyelets.
Recommended for small ponds.
Economy version for use with a reel and bungee cords.
Polyethylene reinforcement sewn along the width with eyelets
approximately every 0.50 m.
A perfectly smooth finish and easy winding.
Superior aesthetic finish.
Polyethylene reinforcement sewn across two widths with eyelets at each corner and every 0.50 m on the winding side.
Flat selvedge along both lengths for effective rolling.
Duolis is suitable for pools with straight, parallel sides.
Superior build quality.
Maximum durability.
Polyethylene reinforcement sewn around the entire perimeter, with eyelets at each corner and every 0.50 m on the reel side.
